Data Literacy in the Library (Collaborative Literacy Learning Series) In-Person

Part of the Collaborative Literacy Learning Series hosted by the State Library of North Carolina and NCLive.

This 90-minute workshop will explore teaching the skill of data literacy in the library and include practical programming ideas that can be adapted for a range of spaces and audiences. At the end of this session, attendees will be able to communicate data literacy principles and implement data literacy activities in their space. 

Presented by Tess Wilson - Tess is the Program Manager of the Network of the National Library of Medicine's Training and Education Center, housed at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a librarian who loves talking loudly about digital literacy, equitable access, and citizen science. Most recently, she was a co-author of an ALA United for Libraries Action Planner and contributed a chapter to ACRL's forthcoming Data Literacy Cookbook.
