Measures, Make them Count: Improving Program Effectiveness with the Logic Model

Measures, Make them Count: Improving Program Effectiveness with the Logic Model In-Person

Take your project management skills to the next level!

Join the State Library and Rebecca Jones as we discover how the Logic Model can be used for holistic project planning, management and evaluation.

Implementing the Logic Model can increase program effectiveness by articulating and visually representing the relationship between actions and intended outcomes. The Logic Model tool can be used to:

  • Communicate the purpose of a program and expected results
  • Describe the actions expected to lead to the desired outcomes
  • Identify indicators to track effectiveness
  • Serve as a reference point for team members
  • Involve team members and stakeholders to increase buy-in
  • Encourage evidence-based practices by incorporating research
  • Help identify potential obstacles to program success so they can be addressed early

At the end of this program, participants will have:

  • a working familiarity with the components of the logic model;
  • a draft logic model for a basic program or library service; and
  • an action plan to use measures to improve services or programs.
