2020 Census: Everybody Counts! In-Person

Libraries play an essential role in connecting community members to eGovernment services and its expected that many library users will turn to their public library to participate in the 2020 Census, the first fully online census. At this workshop you'll find out how you can support the 2020 Census in your community by participating in a Complete Count Committee.

Laura Mcclettie from the Census Bureau will discuss what Complete Count Committees are and how they are integral to the decennial census effort.  Learn best practices for creating a committee to ensure your community members are counted in the census. An accurate decennial census is used to determine representation in the U.S. House of Representatives and determines how billions of federal dollars are distributed to support local communities.

This workshop is open to all library staff and the public.  Local community leaders are encouraged to attend.
