Update Your Library Website Using LibGuides & Project Outcome
The Leigh and John McNairy Library at Lenoir Community College in Kinston, NC, recently launched a new website and updated library services using LibGuides by Springshare. These updates took place based on Project Outcome survey data from the previous three semesters. Nicole Vandiford, Library Director at Lenoir Community College, will demonstrate the process the library took to analyze the Project Outcome survey results and design and create the new library website and services. She will discuss how to use Project Outcome’s survey feature and how to look at and design library websites for the best student and faculty understanding and engagement. Learning Objectives Implement LibGuides for Enhanced Library Services: Participants will gain practical knowledge on using LibGuides by Springshare to create an intuitive and accessible library website, tailored to meet the specific needs of their community. Apply Best Practices for Website Design: Participants will understand the essential principles of user-centered design and learn best practices for designing library websites that enhance student and faculty engagement. Analyze Project Outcome Survey Data: Participants will learn how to effectively analyze Project Outcome survey data to identify key insights and areas for improvement in library services and resources.
