NoveList is thrilled to be back in NC LIVE's offerings, as we’re headquartered in Durham, North Carolina. To demonstrate how pleased we are to be once again helping you help your readers, we are offering an in person, behind-the-scenes, deep dive into NoveList Plus created especially for North Carolina librarians. 

Join the NoveList team for an in-depth NoveList training at the NoveList office. NoveList librarians will talk about how our unique metadata, curated recommendations, and targeted readers’ advisory articles are created. We’ll show you how to search NoveList like the NoveList staff does. Need lots of books to fill a display? We’ll show you how to create broad searches with lots of results, like a list of all award-winning children’s books or novels written by South American authors. Have patrons asking you to tell them the name of that book they read ten years ago – the one with the red cover, about a dog, and maybe the main character had autism? We’ll show you how to create specific searches to hone in on the exact types of books a patron may want. You’ll also learn practical, easy ways to let NoveList automate your favorite searches, email recommendations to a patron, and build quick displays or bibliographies.

This is a free event, hosted by NoveList, specifically for you – our local librarians. We’ll be here at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and time to chat with NoveList librarians before the session, so come early!
